Jeffrey Godwin

Jeffrey Godwin has a heart for the towing industry and has been a part of it for twenty four years. His experience in the towing business began with a dispatch and office management role and have included every aspect of towing company operations, even filling in as an operator when needed.

Mr. Godwin was a part of Texas operations purchased early in the RoadOne consolidation and worked in that corporate office, responsible for over 100 field IT operations nationwide. Mr. Godwin joined towXchange (now TXI Systems) as a partner in late 2003 to continue the sales of the software systems and benefits program developed while at RoadOne. Mr. Godwin’s daily focus is as President of FTI Groups, offering the towPartners program as well as a variety of industry tools marketed under the sureEcosystem brand. FTI Groups is now part of the ArcBest family of companies and Mr. Godwin also works as Vice President of Software Solutions for the FleetNet America division who also operates in the towing community.

Mr. Godwin participates in industry groups, works with many industry associations and is currently the Public Relations chairperson for the Towing and Recovery Association of America and is 1st Vice President of the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum. Mr. Godwin currently serves as the Committee Co-Chairman of the ITRHFM Survivor Fund which provides funds to the families of those men and women who lose their lives each year in the industry. Mr. Godwin has served in the chairman role since the inception of the Survivor Fund and has also served as Committee Chairman for the ITRHFM Wall of the Fallen from 2006 to 2008 and from 2011 to present. Having served on both the museum and TRAA board of directors, Mr. Godwin is prepared for the challenges unique to our industry. Additionally, Mr. Godwin serves on the board of several outside companies in other industries and can bring the valuable insight from those interactions to the boardroom and leadership of the ITRHFM. In addition to these roles, Mr. Godwin is a partner with his wife, Michele, who is has also been directly involved in the towing industry for more than 20 years. Together they operate another towing industry business. In his personal time, Mr. Godwin paints, collects African carvings, rides his motorcycle and, of course, collects toy tow trucks. The Godwins have a ten year old daughter and a six year old son. They live in Haslet, Texas.
