World’s Fastest Wrecker

WorldsFastestWreckerWith the pedal to the floor the entire time – Eddie Martin (retired race car driver) took the 33° curves with precise expertise. Eddie’s posted speed topped at 109.330 – which means that in the the straightaways he had to be exceeding 130 MPH. Unfortunately, Eddie was forced to quit after the First Official Run due to his tires beginning to melt from the speed and the heat. The wrecker stayed at the Talladega Speedway until 2005 when it was purchased by Miller Industries. This ”history” making truck arrived at the museum in 2006, and has become a favorite to most all of our visitors.
