David F. Humphries

Dave is a graduate engineer and teacher who came to the United States from his native England. He joined the Ernest Holmes Company in 1970 as a Project Engineer and, during his tenure, went on to serve as Senior Project Engineer, Assistant Zone Manager, Zone Manager, Regional Manager and National Accounts Manager. In 1985 Dave joined Challenger Wrecker and Manufacturing Company as Vice President, Engineering, a position he held for three and one half years. In August 1991 he joined All Pro Industries as Vice President, Operations, but soon moved on to become Plant Manager of Altec Lansing, Inc. of Oklahoma City.

David Humphries has made many significant and positive contributions to the Towing and Recovery Industry as an innovative designer and goodwill ambassador. Likewise, he has had a considerable influence on the evolution of equipment design through his volunteer positions on the SAE Towability Committee and the TEAMA Specifications Committee. Dave is a distinguished leader in the industry as he always seeks to establish excellence at all levels by constantly challenging the state of the art. David Humphries is a person of both ideas and ideals. His contributions to our industry at every level are worthy of his induction into the Hall of Fame.
