Edward J. Chambers

Ed started his towing company in 1973 with one small tow truck.  Today, Chamber’s Towing has two heavy-duty tow trucks, one tilt’n’load, two small tow trucks, and air cushion recovery equipment.  Ed has served as Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Orangeville Towing Association and President of the Dufferin Area Towing Association.  During his reign, he set up rotation lists for towers to eliminate wreck chasing.  In addition, he worked closely with the OPP Headquarters and the Ministry of Transportation, providing lists of large wreckers for each area.
Ed is also active within his community, having served as Volunteer Captain/Firefighter of the Orangeville Fire Department for over 25 years.  President of the Fire Association and a coach for girl’s minor hockey.  As President of the Fire Association, Ed organized fund raisers for victims of a 1995 tornado that did considerable damage in his area.  Chambers Towing sponsors many community events, charitable events, and athletic teams.  He holds certifications in CPR, Defibrillator Operator, and is a certified Wreckmaster.
