Esa Pyyhkailainen

Esa Pyyhklilliinen became interested in the towing industry through a friend who was in the business. In 1983 he purchased a towing company, Hinausliike Rosqvist, which employed six people and operated five towing and recovery vehicles. Under his management, the firm has grown to fifteen employees and twelve trucks, which is the largest privately owned towing company in Skaninavia. In 1987 Esa purchased another towing firm, Tuusulan Hinauspalvelu, merging the two companies into Rosqvist Yhtiöt (Rosqvist, Inc.). Through this consolidation, the combined volume of business has increased to over 20,000 tows per year in Helsinki and throughout Finland.

Within the Finland Truck Association there is a special branch called Sopimus Liikennoitsijlit, which deals specifically with towing operations. Esa Pyyhkalainen seeks to establish a central office for the towing industry in Finland, through which all emergency calls can be processed and allocated to individual operators. He also seeks to train and improve drivers’ skills, thus making the industry more professional and the many contributions made to the industry by Esa Pyyhalainen are intended for the benefit of all towing operators throughout Finland.
