Lennart I. Larsson

In 1972, Lennart Larsson started as a design engineer with Bro Wrecker in Kristenhamn, Sweden, which at the time was owned and operated by Gustav Ogren. Central among his early duties was the redesign and modernization of the heavy duty underlift unit, previously marketed under the nomenclature of “200A.” In the early 1980’s, Lennart Larsson was involved in designing a new line of hydraulic slide-back/recovery units and in the mid-80’s, was responsible for the design and production of 200 heavy duty recovery units for export to North Africa.

In 1988, when Bro Wrecker was sold to interests in the United States, Lennart Larrson, together with his partner Stefan Ericsson and several other former Bro employees, started a new company, called Bro BHrgningsbyggen AB, also in Kristineharnn. Lennart has since designed a new heavy duty unit named the Starke which he hopes to expand to medium and heavy duty platform recovery units. Lennart envisions this multi-purpose unit as the next generation of hydraulic equipment for both domestic and export markets as well. Lennart Larsson is an innovative engineer who has advanced the technology of the towing and recovery industry, worldwide.
