Mike Cherry
Mike Cherry was born in 1947 in Chicago, IL and entered the industry in 1965 with Cherry’s Towing. Mike went on to own and operate one of the single largest distributors in the nation with multiple locations in Florida from 1989 to 1996. He has been both a Miller Distributor and a Jerr-Dann distributor over the years and has served the factory brands at several positions including President of the Distributor Council, Territory Manager and Sales Trainer. Mike grew King Automotive to become the single largest Jerr-Dann distributorship with multiple locations across Florida.
Mike may be best known for donating his time to his community and others. He has served the PWOF as Santa Claus at their Christmas parties for PWOF for over 10 years. One of the benefits Mike most enjoyed was handing out gifts to all the children at the Joshua House.
His dedication to promoting safety in the industry has been first and foremost for decades sponsoring PWOF Technical Training classes for tow operators as well as Fire and Rescue personnel.

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation
Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.
Exemplary Dedication
Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.
Industry Leadership
Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.
Professional Achievement
Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
