Pat Herring
J.E. Herring Motor Company is a multi-generation business and Pat has played a role for over 30 years, taking over the helm in 1978. He has been a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Towing Association (PTA), holding numerous offices and currently serving as second vice president. When his father’s tow truck was forced off the road in 1969, Pat commenced on his journey to improve safety in his company and throughout Pennsylvania. He strongly promotes education and training for all and has for 15 years hosted open classes for PTA members and all interested in towing and recovery. He worked diligently with fellow PTA members to get a move over law passed and he was part of a committee that traveled throughout the state assisting Pennsylvania towers to understand new regulations. He is a longtime member of the Towing & Recovery Association of America (TRAA) and regularly attends the annual legislative conferences. Pat was asked to haul the breathing pipe placed in the mineshaft for the Quicreek miners and was one of the first responders to the Flight 93 crash on September 11, 2001.

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.
Exemplary Dedication
Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.
Industry Leadership
Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.
Professional Achievement
Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
