William Bottoms

Bill Bottoms became a master welder early in his career and used his mechanical talents to build auto racers in the backyard of his mother’s home in Chicago. As his career in welding and mechanics advanced, he began building towing vehicles and was successful in winning a city contract in Chicago for a fleet of his own design and manufacture. This was the start of his illustrious career in manufacturing, and he has built a strong group of intensely loyal and devoted teammates. By popular acclaim they chose the name Challenger, and they have brought it as a mark of excellence to end-users in the trade.

Bill like to present a low profile and allow his associates and his products to receive the recognition. However, his personal contributions, his foresight and his courage in building a model manufacturing plant speaks so forcefully in his praise that he can not hide behind his modesty.
