Clifford Roy Airth

Clifford Airth became active in the Automotive Industry early in 1946 and sold his first tow truck that same year. Later, he was appointed by the Ernest Holmes Company as their Representative for Western Canada, which was subsequently expanded to also include the States of Hawaii and Alaska. In addition to serving as the Ernest Holmes Representative, Clifford and Alice Airth owned and operated an automotive equipment distribution center serving Western Canada from the Great Lakes to the Pacific Coast.

Clifford Airth retired December 31, 1979, but has continued to follow and promote the development of the towing and recovery industry throughout Western Canada, Hawaii and Alaska. In fact, much of the material used in the Towing and Recovery World History Book for these areas was supplied by Clifford Airth who is an industry leader, a man of strength and vision who has rightfully earned the respect of the entire Towing and Recovery Industry.

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.

Exemplary Dedication

Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.

Industry Leadership

Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.

Professional Achievement

Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
