Frank Howard Eley, Jr.

Frank was educated in technical writing and photography. He joined the Ernest Holmes Company in 1969 after spending 18 years in the aero-space industry. Frank has a strong interest in education and safety in the operation of tow trucks. His efforts in that field are reflected in the instruction manuals he has written for Holmes products for over twenty years. He also wrote the instruction guides for the first home study course in towing and recovery.

The course is offered jointly by the University of Georgia and the International Institute For Towing and Recovery. Frank also works with Holmes’ attorneys in trial preparation work. As a result, he gets to know the details of accidents and key contributing factors. He makes safety recommendations for new Holmes products and lectures on tow truck safety before various industry groups. Frank has great satisfaction in knowing that his efforts may keep tow truck operators from getting hurt and may save innocent lives.
