Hendrick Van Amerongen

Henk majored in motor trades in his formal schooling so when he was graduated he naturally gravitated to the industry. His first position was as chief mechanic for Volkswagen in Arnhem. For the past quarter century he has managed his own proprietorship as a highly qualified towing-recovery-storage professional. His operation is the second largest company in the Netherlands, a country in which professionalism is the norm.

Like so many selfless leaders in the industry, he has taken time from his proprietorship to make major contributions to his fellows. For a decade he has served as a vital cog in the organization’s setup to help the industry serve law enforcement and the public. Typically this public spirited citizen is a major mover in the Boy Scout program, and as a participant in the International Federation of Recovery Associations.
