Jamie Davis

Jamie Davis was born in 1964 in Vancouver, British Columbia and entered the industry in 1979 at Aldergrove Towing and now runs and operates a company referred to as Jamie Davis Towing and Recovery in Hope, British Columbia, Canada.

He learned from his father how to operate a tow truck at an early age and while in high school would get picked up in a tow truck by his mom. Jamie would handle the hook ups and or recoveries and his Mom would handle the driving!

Jamie is a Founding Member and Chairman of the Western Canadian Automotive Business Association.

However what Jamie is most well-known for is being the principal character the Discovery Channel’s TV Series ‘Highway Through Hell” which showcases he and his employee’s dedication and work to keep open the mountain highway better known as the C.O.Q for all who travel in the region. The show which is presently filming its 8th season has brought public awareness and educated people all over the world on the dangers and difficulties that the common towing and recovery operator experiences day in and day out. The show is now broadcast in over 170 countries around the WORLD being seen by millions of viewers who can now relate to the sacrifices that towers make.

Good, bad, happy or sad Jamie has always insisted that the show portray the real world of towing and recovery as it is today. It has brought public awareness to the Slow Down Move Over campaign across the globe and in Jamie’s own words
“things don’t always go smoothly out there.”

The show has created personal sacrifices for Jamie as well but he has fought through them and continues and the show is scheduled to go on for seasons to come. He has spent countless hours at no charge signing autographs and taking pictures for fans and children, all because of his love and passion for the industry. It’s an honor and privilege to introduce the world’s best-known ambassador for the towing industry. Love him or hate him the business is what it is and no one has done more to educate the world on what we do than the discovery channel and Jamie Davis.
