Louis Edwin “Quinn” Piening

Born in 1956 Quinn entered the industry with Central Towing and Transport in 1982 and never looked back. You would be hard pressed to find someone more passionate about training, safety and the industry and its operators then Quinn. Although sometimes he has a unique way of delivering his message no one is ever confused where his heart lay.

He has dedicated his career to working alongside Law Enforcement to ensure the safety, professionalism and respect that towing operators deserve. In his countless years of dedication to the industry Quinn has served the CTTA in a number of positions and now serves them at the highest level as their active President. He has been the Co-Chair of the Towing Regulatory Oversite Committee other wise known as TROC in California, The past Vice President of the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum and a dedicated longtime member of the Wall of The Fallen and Survivor Fund Committees.

He played an instrumental role in writing and implementing the current CTTA Training manual and has received many awards from the CTTA at the state and local level for his service. He recently organized his Chapters Slow Down/Move Over Day in the state and successfully brought fire departments, police departments, the CHP and EMT’s together to bring awareness to the cause for towing operators throughout the Bay Area.
