Luc Le Baron

Luc is the founder and owner of Le Baron et fils, a family-run towing business launched in 1984. Llc is known for actively organizing the towing or “depanneur” industry in France, including Fier d’être depanneur, a towing group he founded in 2012 and has served for over seven years. His efforts have led to improved safety measures for towing operators in France. “Luc was very instrumental in getting France’s slow down – move over law passed. Luc is a passionate proponent of the towing industry and anyone in need.

He has raised money to support children with cancer by organizing a parade of 491 tow trucks, breaking the Tow Trucks for Tots Guinness Book of World Records. His association has donated over $63,500 to charities, and he regularly donates to injured towing operators.

He organizes tow shows, and his advocacy was a crucial reason France passed legislation requiring motorists to move over and slow down to protect towing operators. And when he has free time, he is passionate about helping abandoned animals.

Llc actively promotes safety and training, sharing his experience and expertise among towing operators. “Luc makes it his passion to help the entire towing community.”

He is so popular that many towing operators call him “Tonton” or uncle in French. “everyone has a story about how Luc has helped them.” Luc spends much of his time trying to find solutions to towing issues. “He sleeps for towing, he eats for towing, he lives for towing.”
