Norman Horton

From 1974-1981, Norman worked for UPS as a control clerk and then worked as a bus mechanic in charge of repairs and preventive maintenance for a fleet of ten busses. This is where Norman was introduced to the towing industry. In 1981, Stormin’s Inc. was started in a 20’x25’ tin shed. Norman took this one bay, one mechanic garage and built it to become a much-respected shop and towing business.Norman introduced the original Price Per Pound pricing system for towers, developed out of a need to provide a fair and honest billing system for both towers and customers. Norman has written monthly columns for Trader Publications and freelance articles for Tow Times and American Towman. He was a keynote speaker at a TRAA conference in Washington, DC.Now retired, Stormin Norman works with Therapy Dogs International. Norman raises dogs for disabled individuals and is a legislative liaison for the disabled and animals.
