Richard A. Frasier

Little did Dick Frasier know he’d me an Olympic star for towing.  Dick’s towing company, Lakeshore Garage, was contracted by New York to provide 30 wreckers for the 1980 Winter Olympics.  Dick organized equipment and manpower from seven states to handle the Olympics.  But undertaking challenges is not new to Dick.  He was instrumental in the founding of the Empire State Towing and Recovery Association (ESTRA) and the association’s scholarship program.  He has served chairman and co-chair for the ESTRA tow show for 19 years, held varying officer positions in ESTRA and has been the state’s national association representative.  Dick’s efforts extend to his community as well.  He has been a longtime member of the local school board and is currently chairman.  He has served as a longtime director on his local hospital board, having been chairman and currently treasurer, and has served as a longtime member of his town board.  He played a strong role in working with the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles to create the original tow truck operator’s license and has since worked to keep it updated.
