Fredrick R. Griffith, Jr.

On February 23, 2017, Fred Griffith was working near San Diego, California.  As he was loading a garbage truck on the right shoulder, a repeat DUI offender with a suspended license approached in an SUV.  The SUV left the roadway and struck Fred and the driver fled the scene.

Paramedics worked to save Fred’s life but he died of his injuries at the scene just five days before his 56^th birthday.  Fred leaves behind three sons.
